Today, the main direction of our activity is the development and manufacture of special technological equipment for the assembly of semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, microelectronic systems and other electronic products, including equipment for: thinning semiconductor wafers; separation of semiconductor wafers; mounting (planting) of crystals; connection (micro welding) of conclusions; control of the strength of the conclusions; laser processing. The open joint stock company Planar-SO was founded in 1962 as part of the Design Bureau for Precision Electronic Engineering (KBTEM). The main activity of the enterprise initially was the development and organization of production of equipment for photolithographic processes and assembly operations in the production of microelectronics products. The first steps in the activities of the design bureau were aimed at the formation of a highly qualified team and the development of an infrastructure that ensures the implementation of the life cycle of creating the most complex products. The result of the path covered over 60 years has become a colossal accumulated experience in the creation and mass production of a number of models of assembly equipment.
