Belorusneft denies fuel shortage rumors

18.07.2026. GOMEL. There is no fuel shortage at Belorusneft filling stations, representatives of the company said in response to online reports about the introduction of fuel limits in border regions, BelTA has learned. Specifically, the reports claimed that a filling station in Vitebsk Oblast, located two kilometers from the border with Russia’s Pskov Oblast, was refusing to sell more than 20 liters of fuel. The company officially stated that such online reports are unfounded: “There is no fuel shortage at our filling stations”.

At the same time, there is one new measure at border filling stations in Vitebsk Oblast. “It concerns the ‘fill to full tank’ service. This option is now only available after payment has been made. Otherwise, everything remains business as usual,” stressed Belorusneft Deputy Director General Sergei Kamornikov.

The company urges customers to remain vigilant and to rely only on official media sources for accurate information.

As previously reported, false information on fuel-related issues periodically appears on social media and various websites. However, a visit to any filling station in any region will reveal the true situation on the ground.
