"At the beginning of this path, on May 12, 2015, Alexander Lukashenko and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping were at the very beginning of its development. There were only plans here - the first step in the development of this project, and they supported it. The first residents were received in their presence, and a master plan for the development of this territory was signed. Such attention and support is worth a lot. Even the latest example, when in December last year the President signed Directive No. 9 on the development of bilateral relations between Belarus and China, where a separate block noted the development of the "Great Stone". Those tasks, approaches, priorities set for the medium term, allow us to look into this perspective confidently, because we know where and how to develop, that is, a certain vector has been set," Alexander Yaroshenko said.
According to him, the benefits of cooperation with China for our republic are huge. "China is one of the leaders in economic development. The Republic of Belarus is developing this project, including borrowing and developing high technologies and production innovations that give impetus to the development of our economy. This is the most important effect, in my opinion, for our country," the head of the park administration stressed.
Many doubted the success of the "Great Stone", but at the moment there are already many successful projects implemented in the park.
Alexander Yaroshenko cited the example of the Minsk Automobile Plant, which uses different engines, but in terms of price and quality, Chinese Weichai is currently the best option in terms of efficiency of use on a Belarusian truck. "The second example is the Chinese corporation Shaanxi Fast Gear, which is one of the leaders in the field of transmission for large-sized vehicles, is building a factory in Belarus and producing gearboxes for heavy-duty vehicles, whose competence in our country did not exist at all before, that is, we only purchased," the head drew attention. - Yes, we are only taking the first steps. In the first and in the second case, it is still assembly production. However, I believe that the future effect should also consist in the fact that our production facilities are already involved. Again, these are serious requirements for the quality of components, for manufactured products. It is necessary to strive for this, to win a concrete struggle for the supply of such components for production in the "Great Stone".
