That is why the meeting of the Prime Minister of Belarus and the head of Russian Railways has come by itself. For the same reason, Roman Golovchenko touched upon the topic of the growth of cargo transportation between Russia and Belarus and the updating of tariffs.
"We expect a further increase in cargo transportation between Belarus and Russia, taking into account the fact that due to certain circumstances, we are reorienting our commodity flows along Russian logistics corridors. In this regard, the role of railway transport is very significant. The implementation of the project on transshipment of Belarusian oil products through the ports of the Russian Federation is a good example of how it was possible to prepare a logistics scheme in a short time with political support and maintain economic feasibility for both sides. The task of reorienting such volumes of cargo flows was solved quickly thanks to proper motivation and interest. I would like to express my gratitude for the constructive cooperation. I am sure that this experience will help us in scaling projects of this kind. We are interested in using the entire transport and logistics infrastructure of Russia, especially given the fact that we are very close to the next stage of our economic integration within the framework of the Union State," Golovchenko said very significantly.
