"The Lithuanian market is important for us, because Lithuania is one of the leaders in the number of tourists in the region. For example, out of more than 122 thousand visa - free tourists who visited the Grodno region in 2019, more than 83 thousand were guests from Lithuania," the Department of sports and tourism said. In addition, since November 2019, the entire territory of the Grodno region has become available for group visits without visas when following a tourist route. The period of stay of visa-free tourists has also been increased to 15 days.
"This provided additional opportunities for the development of various types of tourism. At the exhibition, the region will be represented by 15 exhibitors, including healthcare institutions in the region, who will introduce the potential of medical tourism. This area is also gaining popularity, " the Department of sport and tourism said.
Promotion of the region's tourism potential in international markets will continue. In particular, the Grodno region will be discussed at thematic events in Latvia, Estonia and Poland in January and February.-
