The potential of medical and visa-free tourism will be presented by the Grodno region at the exhibition in Lithuania

20.01.2020. The international exhibition Adventour-2020 in Vilnius will present the tourist potential of the Grodno region, including the possibility of visa-free and medical tourism. This was reported in the Department of sports and tourism of the Grodno regional Executive Committee. During the exhibition, the presentation "Grodno region - the territory of comfortable tourism"will be held on January 24 - 26. Visitors will be presented with the tourist potential of the region and detailed information about the possibilities of visa-free visits.


"The Lithuanian market is important for us, because Lithuania is one of the leaders in the number of tourists in the region. For example, out of more than 122 thousand visa - free tourists who visited the Grodno region in 2019, more than 83 thousand were guests from Lithuania," the Department of sports and tourism said. In addition, since November 2019, the entire territory of the Grodno region has become available for group visits without visas when following a tourist route. The period of stay of visa-free tourists has also been increased to 15 days.

"This provided additional opportunities for the development of various types of tourism. At the exhibition, the region will be represented by 15 exhibitors, including healthcare institutions in the region, who will introduce the potential of medical tourism. This area is also gaining popularity, " the Department of sport and tourism said.

Promotion of the region's tourism potential in international markets will continue. In particular, the Grodno region will be discussed at thematic events in Latvia, Estonia and Poland in January and February.-
