Alexander Shumilin: the tasks of pre-emptive economic growth on innovative approaches are relevant for all CIS member States

12.05.2018. The tasks of pre – emptive economic growth on innovative approaches and further development of innovative cooperation are relevant for all CIS member States. This was announced at the opening of the 22nd meeting of the Interstate Council for cooperation in science, technology and innovation Chairman of the State Committee on science and technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin.


According to him, for a short time, since the previous meeting of the ICS, a lot of work has been done in the development of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation of the CIS member States. In particular, the implementation of the Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member States for the period up to 2020, pilot interstate innovative projects of the program, the development of draft documents regulating the implementation of the program and other activities of the mcnti.

At the same time, Alexander Shumilin stressed that the scope of the interstate Council is not limited to the Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member States. "Of course, the program is one of the main objects of our activity, but the scope of interests of mcnti is not limited. On a regular basis, the agenda of the Council meetings also includes issues of interaction of subjects of scientific infrastructure and the activities of the basic organizations of the CIS", - he said.

During the visit to Ulan-Ude, Chairman of the SCST Alexander Shumilin met with first Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Buryatia Igor Shutenkov, during which the prospects for the development of bilateral relations, including in the scientific, technical and innovation spheres were discussed.

The meeting of the Interstate Council for cooperation in science, technology and innovation is held on April 10-11, 2018 in Ulan-Ude (Republic of Buryatia). The agenda of the meeting includes the implementation of the program and a set of measures for 2017-2020, the implementation of pilot projects, as well as the concept of the program for 20121 – 2030.

Reference: the interstate Council for cooperation in science, technology and innovation was established on November 20, 2009 by the decision of the Council of CIS heads of government. Its functions include coordination of science, technology and innovation policy in General and its separate components, formation of financial and economic mechanisms in the States to support joint programs and projects in this area. MS NTI is the Supervisory Board of the Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member States for the period up to 2020. The main goals and objectives of the Program: the Union of intellectual, scientific, technological, industrial and financial potential of the CIS member States.
