Belarus is on the 11-th place in the world in terms of milk exports

11.09.2021. In the world ranking of milk exporting countries, Belarus took the 11th place out of 100 countries considered by the worldstopexports project. The share of Belarusian milk in the world export of this product in 2020 was 2.1%. The revenue from Belarus ' dairy exports amounted to $ 597.7 million. Thus, Belarus is slightly behind the UK, which took the 10th place and received $ 726 million from exports, but ahead of Saudi Arabia, which took the 12th place and extracted $ 528.8 million from milk sales.


In terms of value, the countries included in the Top 15 exporters carried out almost four-fifths (79.5%) of world milk exports in 2020.

Among the key suppliers of milk, the fastest growing countries in terms of exports of this product since 2016 were: Ireland (an increase of 147%), Poland (an increase of 65.3%), the United States (an increase of 63.3%) and New Zealand (an increase of 49.3%).

Unfortunately, Belarus was one of the two countries that reduced milk exports over the past five years. The decrease in milk export sales for the 5-year period by Belarus amounted to -6.9%. The second state that reduced sales was Saudi Arabia -4.9%.
