Belarus wants to attract one hundred million euros from the IBRD to modernize higher education

12.03.2020. Belarus plans to borrow 100 million euros from the International Bank for reconstruction and development to modernize higher education, the press service of the government of the Republic reported. The corresponding government decree No. 135 of March 9, 2020 is officially published on the National legal Internet portal. A loan of 100 million euros is planned to be raised in 2020-2025 for a period of 14.5 years.


According to the document, the government authorized the Ministry of education to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement, allowing if necessary to make changes to it that do not have a fundamental character, as well as to sign the agreement when an agreement is reached within the approved project.
