"Belarus traditionally supplies tractors and other engineering products, which are very valuable for Cuba. Reviews about it are very good, so it is important for us to continue trade with Belarus and go further - to create joint ventures. Cuba has issued a law on foreign investment and joint ventures, which identifies the most promising areas. On the basis of Belarusian production with the participation of Cuban colleagues, it is possible to create enterprises that produce, for example, tractors, trucks, buses," he said.
Describing Belarus ' cooperation with Latin American countries, Deputy foreign Minister of Belarus Yevgeny Shestakov stressed that exports and imports of products have comparable values in the trade balance. "The economies of Belarus and these countries are in many ways complementary. We buy goods which are absent from us for the natural climatic reasons, - Evgeny Shestakov told. - Traditionally, we supply potash fertilizers, metal products, chemical products, which are needed by the rapidly developing economies of Latin America. The task is to increase the share of complex technical products in exports. Here we face certain fears of exporters. Such deliveries involve long-term cooperation associated with the creation of service centers, the presence of a permanent market of spare parts, despite the fact that these products could be competitive in Latin America, it is not enough."
According to Evgeny Shestakov, the seminar " Latin American Countries. Export prospects " will be very useful for Belarusian exporters. "The seminar is held within the framework of the export School project, which is important for companies that learn to work in distant markets. The problems in this work are largely subjective. Our exporters are afraid of great distances. We should not be afraid of this, we should study the conditions and look for reliable partners in Latin America. Most of the companies from all over the world successfully work in this market", - said the Deputy Minister.
The seminar, which is held in the National library, is attended by representatives of about 100 Belarusian enterprises, diplomatic and consular institutions of Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Chile. Companies will receive the applied information necessary to enter the market of the region. The program also includes presentations of Latin American countries.
