Mogilev region in the first quarter exceeded the task of attracting foreign investment more than twice

20.05.2018. Mogilev region in the I quarter of this year raised $70 million in foreign direct investment during this period of $30 million. this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev regional Executive Committee Victor Nekrashevich. He stressed the significant growth of investments in fixed capital by 24%.


Foreign economic activity of the region was based on the principle of multi-vector, as evidenced by trade relations with 100 countries. Export deliveries were carried out in 75 countries. Export of goods in the first quarter as a whole in the region amounted to $491 million, or 107.2% to the same period in 2017, excluding organizations subordinate to the Republican bodies of state administration, as well as oil and oil products - $255.2 million, or 104.5% (with the task for the first quarter - 102.4%).

At the same time, export growth is provided not only by the price factor, but also by volumes in real terms. Increased supply of wood boards in 26.7 thousand cubic meters, furniture - by 7.4 thousand tons, meat and edible offal of poultry - 6.9 kt, roofing materials - 295,8 thousand sq. m.

The balance of foreign trade in goods in the region as a whole was positive - $162.8 million, excluding organizations subordinate to the Republican bodies of state administration, as well as oil and oil products - $90.6 million.
