The installation of unique equipment has begun at the Mozyr Refinery

22.01.2022. The Mozyr Refinery has entered the final stage of start-up operations at the combined hydrocracking plant of the production for processing heavy oil residues of H-Oil. As specified at the Mozyr refinery, specialists are currently installing circulation pumps at the reactor unit of the new technological facility. Only single copies of such equipment are operated in the world. "The operation is jewelry and extremely responsible, so all the efforts and thoughts of the specialists involved in this process are maximally concentrated on the high-quality and timely installation of circulation pumps. After the completion of these works, start-up operations will continue in the environment of hydrogen and diesel fuel with the transition to heavier raw materials," the company explained.


The construction of the heavy oil residue hydrocracking complex (H-Oil) is the largest investment and production project in the entire history of the enterprise. Its estimated value is about $1.5 billion. In fact, the complex is a factory within a factory. It includes three main installations: hydrocracking of heavy oil residues, hydrogen production and sulfur production, as well as 21 general plant facilities. The implementation of the project will increase the depth of oil refining to 90%.

The Mozyr Oil Refinery was put into operation in 1975, transformed into a joint-stock company in 1994. Main activities: oil refining, production and sale of petroleum products. The commercial products of the Mozyr Refinery are exported to more than 20 countries.
