Currently, economic growth in Belarus is provided by some effective projects, such as the hi-tech Park, but this is not enough for the country's breakthrough.
"We need a systematic solution to a number of urgent issues. In a situation of limited resources, the effectiveness of their allocation is key. And the most painful issue from this point of view is the problem of inefficient, chronically unprofitable enterprises. They pull from the state resources that could be spent on other, including social, goals," the expert is convinced.
In his opinion, it is necessary to develop effective mechanisms for reforming unprofitable enterprises, as well as methods of social support for workers, which will be released during these processes.
According to the forecast of social and economic development of Belarus, GDP growth is expected to grow by 4% in 2019. In January-March, GDP grew by 1.1% compared to the same period last year. According to the world Bank forecast, the world economy will show growth of 2.9% in 2019.
