This was stated by the Minister of economy Vladimir Zinovsky during the tenth international investment forum "Mill of success"in Mogilev, the press service of the Ministry. Vladimir Zinovsky opened the panel discussion of the forum and made a report on the prospects of improving the investment and business climate in Belarus.


"The Minister assured the forum participants that the work on creating the best conditions for business and investment in the EAEU, and therefore attracting effective and sustainable investments, is continuing in the country," the press service said.

Thus, draft amendments to the laws "on investments", "on privatization of state property and transformation of state unitary enterprises into open joint-stock companies", "on economic societies"have been prepared. Work has been completed on the adjustment of the mechanism of investment contracts of decree No. 10 "on the creation of additional conditions for investment". "The adjustment of the Tax and Criminal codes is considered. The Ministry of economy has finalized a draft comprehensive decree on simplifying the requirements and conditions of licensing. Steps are being taken to switch to the electronic format of administrative procedures of land and property relations, design and construction documentation, obtaining licenses and permits," Vladimir Zinovsky said.

The Minister has outlined ambitious goals for the future: development and implementation of the plan for the new industrialization, providing the reduction of the gap between regions in the level and quality of life, completion of strategy of attraction of investments into the economy of the country until 2030, improve the work with investors the National Agency of investment and privatization as a "one stop shop" further large-scale support of small and medium-sized businesses.

"The new economy is not only export and investment inflow to the country, it is openness to the world and economy of knowledge, development of effective mechanisms of interaction in the conditions of globalization", - emphasized Vladimir Zinovsky.

The Minister noted that the measures taken by the government to reduce inflation, form a deficit-free budget and a balanced balance of payments, stimulate domestic demand over the past two years have provided the elimination of imbalances in the Belarusian economy and its exit to the path of steady growth. And as a result of the implementation of the strategy of multi - vector investment policy was included in the top ten countries-major donors of foreign direct investment in Belarus, where Russia and the EU countries such as China, the Arab Emirates and the United States are traditionally located.

"Trust of foreign business is emphasized by the growth of deposits in the authorized funds of companies and decisions on reinvestment of profits," Vladimir Zinovsky explained.

The Minister listed recent measures taken to simplify the business environment and stimulate investment activity. Among them are the adoption of decrees № 7" on the development of entrepreneurship "and №8" on the development of the digital economy", decree №345" on the development of trade, catering and consumer services", as well as the improvement of the tax and administrative regime in the industrial Park" Great stone", reducing the criterion of residence in terms of investment in free economic zones and providing their residents with compensation benefits in connection with the abolition of customs benefits from 1 January 2017.

The tenth international investment forum "Mill of success" is held in Mogilev on June 29-30. The forum is attended by more than 500 people, including representatives of Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, China, Japan, South Korea.
