17.07.2019. Belarus and Russia need to match economic development strategies to meet the challenges. This opinion was expressed today in St. Petersburg by Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on international Affairs and national security Sergei Rakhmanov at a meeting of the inter-parliamentary Commission of the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council for interregional cooperation.

"There are a lot of tasks in fact. We have done much, but more needs to be done. First of all, it concerns the threats we face in the economic and technological spheres. Here we should very seriously match our development strategies in the economic sphere, in the field of high technologies", - said Sergey Rakhmanov.

In his opinion, countries should pay special attention to the issues of cooperation, creating special clusters in different sectors. "We have cooperation, but it should be strengthened," the Senator said.
